The Conflict Resolution course raises participant understanding of the background to conflict and the contribution they can make to either calming or escalating a confrontation. It does this by providing attendees with the tools they need to recognise rising anger and by showing them the importance of staying calm and being able to manage their own responses.
During the training day, participants learn and practice key skills to build their confidence and to maintain composure whilst de-escalating conflict. They will also gain the ability to recognise 'red rag' phrases and an appreciation of the use of body language during a confrontation.
