Financial Hardship Fund
This year we donated another £5,000 cash towards a hardship fund. This fund supports vulnerable people living in areas of deprivation across the West Midlands region, who have been severely affected by the current economic situation. The fund offers financial support with regards to food and fuel poverty, or the inability to pay rent , as going into rent arrears places tenancies as risk. People can apply for financial support from the Hardship Fund in times of need.
The National Housing Manager said:
“Without the support of the financial donations we receive from Adullam Social Enterprises, many of our Tenants, Residents and Service users (TRS) wouldn’t have received the financial support the funding provides to those in most need of support, especially given the unprecedented times we are all facing with the cost of living. Over the year a total of 41 TRS users have received financial support from the fund, to cover essential bills e.g., utilities and food. Our Welfare Funding has also contributed toward engagement and involvement activities, which gives us more scope to have a dedicated fund achieved through ASE donations and the support from their team. So on behalf of West Midlands TRS and staff a big “THANK YOU”. We look forward to the future working opportunities and even more activities co-produced with our TRS in future”.
